Western Isles Conservation in Action Conference, Lewis + Uist, 29 September
Here at Species on the Edge, we are delighted to be taking part in the first Outer Hebrides Climate Week! Outer Hebrides Climate Week brings a week-long programme of free events to the Western Isles, exploring issues facing our communities and inspiring local action to protect and conserve our islands.
On Friday 29th September, we will be co-hosting the Western Isles Conservation in Action Conference – Lewis and the Western Isles Conservation in Action Conference – Uist. The Western Isles Conservation in Action conferences bring together community members, local organisations, businesses, and conservation practitioners to learn more about the work happening across the Outer Hebrides to improve habitat for wildlife.
Join local conservation organisations to find out about their work in our unique environment, alongside crofters, communities, and other individuals and businesses. The day will include a mix of focused talks and workshops, with opportunities to meet with conservation-minded people, to share experience, and to look for opportunities to work more closely together.
The Conservation in Action conference is hosted by a partnership of the Bumbleebee Conservation Trust, NatureScot Peatland Action, the RSPB, and the Woodland Trust.
