Transparent Burnet Survey Day, Glen Lonan (Oban), 17 June

 

  • What: Deadh Choimhead in Glen Lonan is our most easterly Transparent Burnet colony. Join us as we carry out a thorough survey to gain a better understanding of the moth’s distribution on the hill. It’s a beautiful site and is also home to Marsh Fritillary butterfly. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the moth and how to survey with Project Officer Mhairi. No experience needed!
  • When: Wednesday 17th June, 10am – 3pm
  • Where: Glen Lonan, Oban

  • More details:
    • Please dress appropriately for the weather on the day, and bring enough water and food that you will want throughout the day.
    • This survey will involve a substantial amount of walking – including traversing rough terrain and steep slopes. A steady footing and moderate fitness level is necessary.
