Thurso BeeWalk Surveys, multiple dates

Join us on the first Tuesday of each month, from May to September, for one of our guided BeeWalk surveys along the riverside in Thurso.

Learn bumblebee ID skills, meet new people and look after your physical and mental wellbeing by being outside.

Meet at 2pm at the corner of Janet Street and Sir George’s Street, Thurso.

Dates

  • Tuesday 6th May
  • Tuesday 3rd June – with special guest, Highlife Highland Countryside Ranger Paul Castle
  • Tuesday 1st July
  • Tuesday 5th August
  • Tuesday 2nd September

Walks are about 2km along footpaths, pavement and through short grass. There are stairs to a footbridge and road bridge. The survey will take 1-2 hours, depending on how many bees we see! No need to book – just turn up on the day.

Please ensure that you are appropriately dressed for the weather conditions and wear suitable footwear. Please note that there are no toilets on this route.

All welcome; under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. No dogs please.
