  • What: Join Buglife Species on the Edge Conservation officer, Fiona Basford, for this FREE event as we learn about the elusive Bordered Brown Lacewing (Megalomus hirtus) and try your hand at surveying. Tuesday 1 July 2025 marks 200 years since the Bordered Brown Lacewing was first recorded in the UK. This workshop will kick off our ‘200 hours for Lacewings’ challenge: we’re encouraging volunteers across Scotland to collectively contribute 200 hours of surveying, learning, and reporting sightings specifically to help protect and support the Bordered Brown Lacewing population. Let’s work together to put this tiny creature on the map. All ages and experience levels are welcomed.
  • When: Tuesday 1 July 2025, 2pm – 3:30pm
  • Where: Stonehaven War Memorial
