Spring into step walk, Orkney, 19 March

 

  • What: Join our Orkney team for a free, gentle, lunchtime walk around Arcadia Park, as part of NHS Orkney’s first Social Prescribing Day. The Species on the Edge team will have a stand from 10am – 4pm at Balfour Hospital – pop by and learn why and how connection to nature is being prescribed to improve health and wellbeing by GPs in Orkney.
  • When: Wednesday 19 March 2025, 12:30pm – 1:30pm
  • Where: Meet inside Balfour Hospital foyer at the Species on the Edge stand

  • More details:
    • No need to book, just turn up on the day dressed for all weathers.
    • We will be using tarmac paths, accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs. We will walk at a slow pace for all abilities.
    • Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
    • This walk is serviced by a bus route. Parking may be limited at the hospital.
    • These walks are not suitable for dogs except for assistance dogs.
