Natterjack Toad Survey & ID Training, Dumfries & Galloway, 23 April

 

  • What: Join Species on the Edge Project Officer Liam Templeton for this free training event on Scotland’s rarest amphibian – the natterjack toad. Learn how to identify this iconic species and about the survey methods used to monitor it. This event will feature both indoor and field elements. This training will guide you through the necessary steps to becoming an accredited natterjack surveyor, giving you the opportunity to support local conservation efforts and contribute to the recovery of this nationally endangered species. Limited spaces – booking is essential!
  • When: Thursday 23rd April, 6pm – 10pm (Alternative date Thursday 30th April in the event of adverse weather)
  • Where: RSPB Mersehead Nature Reserve, DG2 8AH

  • More details:
    • Please dress in warm, weatherproof clothing. Wellington boots or some other waterproof footwear is recommended. Please also consider bringing a torch or other source of light to help navigate the reserve at night.
    • Light refreshments will be provided during the event, but please feel free to bring your own snacks. Microwave and kettle facilities will be available for use. If you have any dietary requirements, please let Liam know.
