Habitat Work Party, Lossiemouth, 13 February

  • What: Join us for a habitat work party at Forestry and Land Scotland Lossiemouth Forest. We will be removing scrub, mostly gorse from this interesting shingle system. Not only will the work improve the habitat for the Small Blue and Dingy Skipper butterflies, we will be helping to keep the notified feature of the SSSI – the shingle system – free of scrub. We will be meeting at The Lein car park, Kingston to walk along the shore path. This will give us an opportunity to have a look at the recent scrub work carried out at Spey Bay. A reasonable degree of fitness is required for this walk, as it is approximately 2 miles to walk out to the site over uneven terrain.
  • When: Friday 13th February, 9:30am – 3:30pm
  • Where: Lossiemouth Forest, meet at The Lein car park, Kingston. what3words///shine.rant.city
